It depends on what you are looking for. A stand like that is how I got into speed bagging. Got a free heavy bag, bought a stand like that and realized that you can't speed bag very well on a heavy bag stand due to vibration. Built my own platform on the wall and have been much happier ever since. Still use the stand for my heavy bag, but plan on hanging it from the ceiling as soon as I get a new place.

I had a very, very similar (if not exact) model. Not good, for speed bagging at least. It will vibrate like crazy.

      See here:

See all the movement of the board? That kills rebounds, you'll be working way hard to keep the bag barely moving. Been there, done that. If you want to get serious about the bag, you gotta have a solid setup.

You can see there i've added wood to it, I sometimes put up to 50 lbs on sand on top, and it didn't help much. There's just too much flexion in that single pole holding it all up. And the faster you hit, the worse it gets...

Now for hitting heavy bag , it was ok. But as with all these kind of stands you can't move much, which takes a lot of the fun out of it.
