    My bag swings real slow

    Hi

I have bee training muay thai now for 5 years and have had a double end bag and banana bag for a couple of years. I went out and bought a speed ball but it doesn't appear to move quickly at all.

I know that I have just started with it but even when I throw full power punches at it the bag is lucky if it bounces 5 times, so when I am rolling my fists at it I can hardly get 3 bounces from it.

    Can anyone advise?

    cheers guys

btw lovin the site and that other guys rig is amazin

I have a BBE adjustable speedball frame that included a swivel but not sure what type - http://www.sugarrays.co.uk/shop/bbe-...ll-frame..html

The ball is a Lonsdale authentic speedball - http://www.sugarrays.co.uk/shop/lons...peed-ball.html

      thanks for the help

Definatly not the bag everyone loves lonsdale that has used them. i wud sugest some weight on top of your board to cut down vibration which eats rebounds for dinner. Swivel looks fine in the picture so i wud think it is the board vibrating.

          "My bag swings real slow"

Sounds like you may need to see a doctor.....

          .....C'mon, now that was funny!

That's it, I'm booking myself a gig at the Comedy Store tomorrow!

Just kiddin', I'm sure Kyle, Tim and others here will be able to help.
But I would check if the bag is pumped enough. But like Kyle said, make sure the platform is real sturdy. I have a bottom line Everlast board but it feels pretty sturdy. I look forward to the day I get to bag on one of the top of the liners! Must be fun!
          KEEP ON BAGGIN'!

Welcome to the forum mate. Looking at your set-up, I would say Kyle was right. That set-up will definitely need some sand bags on it.

thanks guys, I got a sandbag from one of the local DIY stores. I'll shove that up on top and see what happens.

Oh, and warn everyone else not to adjust the height
