Balazs Lazer Speed Bag Sizing

I recently purchased a Balazs Lazer speed bag, size large, 11 x 8, through Amazon. It looks like a nice bag but it is smaller than I expected.

I carfeully measured it and found:
Length from bottom of bag to top, including the loop = 11 inches
Length from bottom of bag to top, excluding the loop = 10 inches
Circumference at widest region = 23 inches
Diameter at widest region = 7.3 inches

This is about what I would expect for a 10 x 7 bag, not an 11 x 8 bag.

Does anyone else have experience with Balazs Lazer speed bag sizing?

This has been a bit of an issue with not just Balaz but with not only the current makers but going way back to the early post WWII era. Of late the most believable theory has to do with the conversion from metric to English measurements, rounding off to the closest number.

So, when measuring the size set it on a hard surface and measure straight up using ng a straight ruler to the top of the bag or the top of the loop? I saw one post where some one said the shortened the bag height by making the loop shorter by an inch? How tall is this bag?

Seller says it is 11.5". Notice that loop is not centered in opening at top of bag and appears crooked. However, if loop is pushed to center of opening the top is flat on bag.

ebay seller lists size as Size 12x5x3". Looks fatter to me. circumference is approximately 22.5" which yields a diameter of about 7.1".
