Baby steps. It's all about practice, practice, practice.

I see you have the same problem I have with a large bag. My arms aren't long enough to hit behind the bag without it hitting me in the nose. It's a very delicate balance of being close enough to hit the bag, and leaning back and tilting my head up to avoid colliding with the bag! I have found it to be easier to have the bag a little higher than usual when doing a lot of punching from behind the bag. My smaller gold Title, small Leone and white FS bag work well with this punch.
