Permanently attaching screw in swivel with superglue or loctite

Blue loctite - tool removeable

Red - extra torsion required

Green - Heat and torsion required



Blue loctite is the standard for most non-critial machine parts and automobile fasteners. It will lock the threads nicely, but is removeable with hand tools

Permatex makes their own variety of this popular thread locker, available at your local hardware store or in the adhesives/paint isle at wal-mart.

Used that stuff once on a bolt I shouldn't have ... had to use a torch to heat it up and beat it loose with a chisel and hammer

that's good to know. I've got a few plastic ballhooks I need to take apart.

You may want to try using plumbers tape around the thread before screwing it in.

The problem with superglue is the swivel is not interchangable, I have 2 title swivels one for each speedbag then I just unscrew the medium bag and screw in the small bag I plan on adding a ex small and a large bags and swivels for each, then it makes it easy to change them out for the type of bag you want to hit. I don't do all the fancy combinations that some of the folks here do yet but I may make another platform with a ball hook swivel for that. Right now I do 3 rounds on the 6 X 9 bag then 3 rounds on the 7 X 10 bag.

yeah the superglue will do the trick. I used superglue one time and it worked just fine after that.

i need it to stay on, not slide, will the wd40 help stick

Helping it move more freely will help it stay on, if it is stiff the vibration makes it work its way loose. Hope this helps

My title pro lock swivel keeps unscrewing

try spraying some WD-40 around the bearing from the bottom and put some grease around the top of the bearing and on the threads. See if that helps, I have a Title Pro Swivel and never had any problem with mine after doing that.
