    gloves/wraps

If wearing handwraps, what's the best kind to get?

And if wearing gloves, what's the best kind?

(My hands get pretty discolored and sore if I don't wear at least something on my hands, but I'm not sure I've been using the right stuff.)

I have been using these gloves for about 3 months now for both lifting and bagging http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/pr...13986.12598195. These gloves are excellent and have hardly shown any signs of wear and do a great job of keeping your hands from getting sore.

I prefer the classic harbinger glove with wrist wraps. Dont' necessarily need the wrist wraps, but there are no seams over the striking surface of the fist and the soft leather takes the bag very nicely.

My 2-cents: PMI 3/4 Fingerless Belay Gloves - Soft and thin (Goatskin), cover the lower knuckles, no seams on the striking surface, and Velcro adjustment wraps. I suffer the same cracking of the skin still, and after trying motorcycle and lifting gloves, these do it for me. I'm happy with what works - and I'm a grouch when things don't. BTW: They don't get in the way of consistent hitting, my brain does that for me. Enjoy.
