    Pro Box Extreme popped

I was happily bagging away enjoying the Pro Box when it popped! I discovered that the hard loop along with the tongue are the causes of the problem.

Image #1 shows the tongue which isn't sewn into the bag and the material (I don't think is leather) is very thin. It's got a neat hole cut into it.

#2 look at the thickness of the loop inside the bag!

#3 Loop is cutting through the tongue.

#4 I'm showing the size comparison between the bag and bladder. When the bladder is inflated to support the bag, it's as thin as a party balloon.

    Fix:
Remove the hard edges and cover the inside by glueing a small piece of leather over the loop. I will replace the tongue with a decent piece of leather and have it sewn in.

UK, what a shame because it is a good looking bag. Sounds like you have a good fix in mind.

I'm starting to worry about you though. First, your stuck bagging outside in the elements. Second, after moving inside you had the whole platform fall on you. Now, you have a speed bag blow up. Are you sure someone is not trying to get a life insurance payoff on you?

Atgatt, it's a good thing I have friends like yourself looking out for me, because I never thought of that! I need a plan to catch whoever is trying to see me off.

Wow, sounds like an epidemic. Sorry to hear about the troubles. Hopefully the fix that Vini has made will solve the problem permanently.

I was thinking about it fingers. I'm going to speak to the lads in our trim shop and ask what kind of job it would be to knock a loop up for me. Easy I would imagine!

I think this would probably be the quick and easy way Tim. I'll take the bag to work and speak with the trimmers before I start messing about with scalpel's and pieces of leather.

So here's what I done. Using a scalpel I trimmed off the sharp edges from the loop. I then bonded pieces of leather over the edges and then bonded a tongue into the bag. I'm going to try the bladder from the Title bag and see how it performs.

Hey UK, Think about it. MetalDad is now back posting, hitting the speed bag.

I think it's pretty obvious what the problem is.

Before I joined this forum I had no fear of hitting the bags, but after reading such posts as this and others, I find myself checking all the securing points for platforms, DE and heavy bag, inflation of bags, wear; and now thanks to Alan, I routinely disinfect my equipment. It's taken a lot of the fun out of it.

Sorry about that Atgatt. Actually, if you don't feed your speed bags after midnight you should be OK.
