I've had major surgery on one shoulder-4-part facture of humeral head. Sometimes Arnica Cream relieves soreness almost instantly, but other times it doesn't work at all. Seems to be allowing me to return to bagging-- to some degree. It's worth a try with any joint pain. Not a cure of course but it keeps inflamation at bay.
