My main board is 32" in diameter, if I recall. 24", which is a common size, would work fine with bags up to 10x7 in size.
lol! why?? how come it's frustrating?? is it too small?? to punch?? ...

well im quite happy with my board right now and might not add more inch anymore... it's just a waste of time..and energy lol!

*maybe anytime soon...if i might become a pro like you sir =)

anyway very much thanks for your comments...it helped a lot!

In either case, the bottom of the bag should be at your chin level.

In the first video you posted (standing on a platform) you were too high. In the second video (standing on the ground), you were too low.

Also, keep in mind that when you change bags (larger to smaller, or smaller to larger), you may have to re-adjust the height of the speed bag platform or the platform you are standing on so that the bottom of the bag is at chin level.

Good luck. Hope this isn't too confusing.
well i will remember what you have told me.... it's a big help too!! thank you sir!!... that's what i am also planning to do.... to stand on some platform..so i can be taller...and i can match the bottom of the bag exactly at my chin level! thanks sir!!

nah it does not confuses me...it's a big help! thanks!

Hey ote888, welcome to the forum. If you're just starting out, as others have pointed out, it would be better not to start out with the smallest bag since you'll be needing to go a little slow at first to learn the fundamentals and with a small bag, 6 x 4 for example, you'll probably end up getting frustated with the size and speed of the bag. A larger bag tends to be slower and has a larger "sweet spot" in the bag. This is very helpful with learning or practicing new techniques and combinations. Plus it requires more power to keep it going, giving you a tougher workout. Hope this helps.

well after you all telling me that i should adjust the platform higher...i made my decision to post the other video...(the true one ) in which you would see the platform and the bag is really higher than me..but the speedbag was still bouncing reallly sloowwww...

so what again do you think i should do???

sorry to you guys...that i posted a wrong video... because i was hesitating at first, that you all might react that how come ... i put up the platfrom and the speedbag higher than me...verrryy sorry guys.... asking for an apology

pls have more patience...im starting to learn a lot here...i hope you guys would be more eager to help me out! thanks!!

            http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9uft099hkY

Okay, so now you have all the information you need. Buy an Everlast8x5 which measures 9x6, adjust your platform so that the bag is at the correct height. Watch the Skunks video's. Before you know it, you'll be hitting like a pro!

It will be challenging to hit for a variety of reasons:

                1. The rebound arc will be shorter. It will rebound quicker. After hitting the bag you've been hitting a 6x4 is going to feel LIGHTNING FAST!
                2. It will be lighter. It may feel like punching air, again, compared to what you were hitting
                3. It will require more precision. The "sweet spot" on the 6x4 is going to be small. You will have to hit much more precisely than you have

Taken all together, you may want to quit after 5 minutes with a 6x4 bag... but if you hang in there and keep at it, you can probably be hitting well after a few days.

But keep in mind, as you learn new strikes (elbows, doubles, etc.) it will be easier to pick these up on a larger bag, like an 8x5.

If I could only own ONE bag, it would be an 8x5.

hey guys...as we see different kinds of swivels...like different styles...different made....do they differ in terms of speed??? .

like what i mean is.... for example there is an everlast and title swivel...they have the same style...but do they differ from the speed they produce?? since they both came from different manufacturer??? thanks
