Alan's choice of the Deville is in my opinion a can't lose choice. I have several ball hook swivels, and this is the one I use.

But if for some reason you cannot get one due to out of stock, here are some other options.

The last page of this old thread has the guy selling this old swivel that is back in stock for a limited time.

Also Everlast sells the plastic ball hook swivels that come with their entry level platforms. The only problem is that you cannot order it on their website, you have to call them up to order it. Below is a copy of the email they sent to me when I asked about the plastic ball hook swivel.

The swivel is $5.00 (Part#4440U) plus shipping $6.95. You will need to purchase the parts by phone at 1-800-821-7930 ask for the parts department. The order will need to be paid with a debit/credit card.

This Everlast plastic swivel can be made into a decent swivel by either gluing the hook into the swivel since it likes to loosen up and come out, or the better option, adding a metal ball preferably steel to it.

I've actually written to Everlast, Title and Ringside to give them the idea that they should make a quality ball hook swivel, at least for a limited run, since there are plenty of customers who would buy it. They all said they would inform the necessary people in their company and keep it in mind.

This book/dvd Combo is awesome!

Well, after a couple months of piecing together my platform and custom made drum, I finally got up and running with speed bagging. I started with a 9x6 bag which probably wasn't the best idea. I was struggling more than I expected in the beginning. Then I decided/remembered to start reading Alans book and watched part of his dvd. What an amazing difference they made. Alan did an amazing job. I can't wait to see things progress even more than they already have in the past few days. Alan has been spot on with everything I have read so far. I just wish I had read his book before I started buying my setup and hitting the bag. Would have saved me time, frustration, and achy hands.

Alan, you are truly are awesome!

One thing I was surprised with is that this forum isn't more active. A great place nonetheless and if your browsing here wondering about the book and dvd, just hurry up and buy it!
