    Keep on baggin'!

    Howdy and Happy Thanksgiving!
I'm brand new here and just want to say I have total respect to everyone putting time in under the board, especially the guys who got me all fired up to finally start baggin'; Alan Kahn and Speed bag Skunk! I saw them on youtube this summer while on tour and was left completely dumbfounded! I honestly couldn't believe what I was seeing!
I got home and after 8 years of owning a board, finally set it up Sept 10th. I think the initial attraction started by seeing Rocky bag as a kid, and every time after that being caught up with the whole art of speed bagging; the sound, the rhythm, the intensity.
Being a drummer/musician, I find it extremely satisfying to be able to get my combinations all locked up rhythmically! But every advancement in technique is a blast in itself!
I've only been baggin' for 2 1/2 months but I'm hooked! Although I was hooked after the first 30 minutes!

KEEP ON BAGGIN'! The ultimate in contolled chaos!

I must say it's real cool to have a place online to read up and get educated on everything speed bag related! Thanks Tim!
I also find it very interesting to read about other people's reasons on why they are so into the art of speed bagging. Outside of the world of music, mountain biking, and being a dad, there aren't many things I put time into
simply for the love of it. This is the only activity I've gotten excited about in a real long time!

    Great Post Spin,
    Well Said....
I have an Addictive personality and I was also Hooked from just the first min. on my Buddys Speedbag. I was totally amazed that I was Whooped after like 2 mins of just Trying to hit the bag twice in a row. When he FINALLY got me to slow down and Watch the Bag, I finally got a few in a row to connect...I couldnt get enough...

Hey, Brian. And I thought I was a drummer!

I am brand new, only started yesterday. But I can see this is going to be quite addicting. Think the daily speed bagging session will take the place of the Rudimental Ritual? LOL Good to see you here. (And, great video, Alan.) Sean

Dax, thanks! We got lucky with that pic, and I was goofin' off with the intense facial expressions!
To get a "baggin' in action" shot, have the photographer and you both "click and hit" at the same time. Count evenly from one to four, then on the next "one", hit and click! The photographer may have to compensate for flash lag time, as it is a bit hit or miss judging on the camera and all that. But nonetheless, a few attempts should produce a shot of a pummeled bag! haha....
Alan, yes, it's nice to be here!
Sean, the combinations under the board aren't so different than the rudiments on the kit; and I have found that the baggin' has helped my overall equilibrium on the drumkit! For real! It's all mental and both skills require total concentration on hand/eye coordination as well as rhythm.
Gotta go.... just finished baggin' and now off to a gig in San Diego and then another in Vegas tomorrow.
            KEEP ON BAGGIN'!
