These old bags look made to last. I've got 4 flat everlast bags at the moment.

        DITTO.
(Although, I suppose it's more to do with the quality of the bladder...)

They had gone to vulcanized rubber by then, much more durable than the earlier gum rubber bladders. These were about the thickness of bicycle innner tubes of the era, and could be repaired with a inner tube patch kit.

            Vintage Everlast Bladders??

I'm a newbie here, but have an old Everlast bag very similar to the on pictured. I've got a slow leak in the bladder. Anyone know where I can get an old bladder with a side fill valve or tips on repairing?

            Thanks!

I've heard a simple bike patch kit will work for most bladders, depending on where the problem is. Sometimes the valve itself goes, not much you can do about that. I imagine if it's that old the bladder may be beyond hope though...

Bladder quality is very important, and older bladders tend to leak.

And, most of my older bags leak too.

the bag in this picture deserves a good home to live out it's twilight years.

I seem to recall that MsDeville recently acquired a bag from the Land Down Under that has a side neck valve. Now if the maker of this line sells bags of this size we might have a source of new bladders of this type.
