To give some scale, here it is next to my 4213 which I know you know well. To my eye, they are equal size. I had trouble getting them to stand up next to each other so you could see that. I'll weight them both, but I want to swap out the leaky Everlast brand bladder in the 4213 first.
I finally got more bladders in stock and swapped out the leaky everlast brand bladder in the 4213 with the identical bladder in the 4202, an Enkay Super 5. The 4202 weighs 9 7/8 oz. The 4213 weighs 9 1/8 oz.
Now that I am comparing apples to apples, I can say the 4213 is much better. And I am surprised, given their similar shape, size, and weight. The 4202 hits much heavier and is jumpy. Jumpy as in not balanced despite the slick gyro balanced logo.
Also the leather on this particular 4202 is thicker with more grain than my older 4200 kidskin. I highly doubt the 4202 is kidskin. Maybe it is a late period bag still technically made in USA, but with inferior, and possibly imported, leather stock.
Probably not imported leather, more than likely domestic, as that was about the time that the Feds forced the leather tanners to switch process due to ground and air pollution concerns, not to mention that the chemicals that were used in the tanning process are just nasty to begin with. They did , however produced a superior product.
Yes you do have skills restoring bags and lacing em back up.
I put an Everlast snapin bladder in the 4210 I just cleaned up. It's too bouncy. I like the Title bladders better. I think I went from liking easy to hit bags to now I like a heavier bag.
The Everlast bladder I got from Forza was just a little larger and a little lighter/thinner than the Enkay Super 5 when uninflated. And mine suffered from the slow leak as well, from day 1. It became so annoying I had to replace it. I could not tell any diff in performance between the 2.
