I have seen photos of these way back in time. Never able to copy them. Never did find out who made them, obviously an attempt to circumnavigate a patent.

Ok Dutchman!, I think I was the lucky high bid, probably the same one. I have not seen another one like it. So I had to have it. Maybe these were before Nicols or?……? Idk,
made in USA though, and it’s safe with me
Go for it. Someone here should give it some good use and appreciation. And report back.
Never did bid on it, i already had to many vintage swivels, and finally decided to let some go, i remember giving you an old Nicols, i think it was from the earlier lineup of those swivels when they first came out, did you ever try it ???

Glad it went to someone who could appreciate it, Vintage made in usa seems to stand the test of time
I've come to the conclusion that these were on rebound rings, maybe early Non Pereil or Spalding
Definitely a Ball-Rope swivel, Just like the old Nicol's before they came out with the two piece nicol's swivel, The openings on the side made it easier to change out the rope without unscrewing the swivel from the drum.
