Schedule 40 black pipe for the basic material is readily available at the plumbing supply houses here in town, and I can get the professional discount from my place of employment if I pay cash. Besides, a little research reveals that a lot of old time boxing gyms and training camps used this kind of set up.

I have been thinking about a SB punching ring that has 3 rails, 65Nb to go along with the beef deck motif. It couldn't be any heavier than the beef deck I had up before. Dunno, can you get 65Nb in shed 40, that plumber stuff is all pretty light gauge and goes into conduit around that size, doesn't it???
M Dia 24" inside a M Dia 28" and 32". Or... use rolled flat bar and have a fillet edge, for a different look again
