I'm reminded of an age old poem...

Like the Yetti of mountain lore, I fear the powermill is no more.
As history tells this tale of tears, there's been no word in three plus years
With weight and sound, much more than most. I fear this swivel is now a ghost.
It was alive, I have no doubt, but it's father has gone on walkabout.

I think the eyebolt thread on the everlast is the same as my powermill steel ball, So I think you can unscrew that S-hook eyebolt from the plastic ball and screw that into my powermill, But I can't remember if it's the same thread, If someone remembers please chime in, Anyway if it works I could give you the steel ball. It will not float in the plastic housing, like the plastic ball does, if someone remembers please speak up, because I can't remember if they were the same thread.
Can't help as I never took one apart.

I was wise enough to purchase 3 of them and an extra ball & hook...still one of my favorite swivels, great for punchdrumming (easy to hear with headphones on)!

I have a Powermill on the basement platform, a "Speedy Tommy T" customized vintage Nicols on the garage platform & a Deville on my livingroom platform...it's ALL good!

              Ventanakaz,
thanks for the offer. you may need the Steel ball in the future... the Everlast plastic swivel is still readily available from Everlast. I ordered my three swivels from them just two weeks ago.

I've long loved the language of poetry and the turning of a phrase. In fact:

Long before the speed bag bible,
my hands held pen, they were not idle,
Capturing thoughts of rhythm and rhyme,
long before they punched in time

                          trochees chased, and anapest
but found iambic was the best

The world of baggin' may not know it
                          before I Punched, I was a poet

                          * Burma shave?

(* our younger folks may not remember that...)

I tell my long lost poetry friends that the Speed Bag Bible was my "anapest destiny"

                          they would get that.
