      That was bloody beautiful Luv!

Had me smiling the whole way through it.

Geez, your kit is begining looking around the 80% complete mark, its good to see you're expanding.

Great track, I don't recall hearing it before but you certainly complemented it.

As 4 that 5lbs, bet it was grog, don't let it get to you luv, we all let our hair down now and then. Enjoy the momment!

Did I detect a high beam there. It looked like you were having a great time, and I'm all 4 that. Good stuff.

I wonder what Mitts will think...

When I started your fan club, I had no idea of your impending ascent up Punch Drum Mountain. Loved the selection this time around, am still mesmerized by what you have achieved, and can't wait to see what new heights you bring to the craft in the coming years.

        Bag on, sis!

Thanks MD! Yeah, good song to workout with, that's for sure! I'm definitely driven to PUNCH when I've got a good solid song to listen to...

Thanks, StevieMac! When I heard this song on the (oldies) radio station, I knew I had to punch to it. It is indeed a great song choice – for me, anyway.

Roc, you're usually brief with your comments (is it an Aussie trait? ) But, this time, wow! I'm, blown away. So glad I had you smiling through this one. This song really got me movin' and I could definitely feel it – really in the groove at around 3:00 minutes in). And, the lyrics as well as the heavy beat of the music (for me) were so apropos to my mood the night I recorded this. (God, I just can't seem to get enough of this punch drumming addiction...) It is such a great outlet for me...

            ...High beam?

            yeah.

Okay, so I was havin' a grand time with this one. What more can I say?

And, as a member of your Big Bag Lovers Club, I highly recommend hitting on a big'un for a solid, worthwhile workout. (I'm having a love affair with my BFF bag... )

            Bag on, sis!

Bag I must!!!!! It's my mantra. "Ms D's the name, and Baggin's my game." I get such a high from this so-called hobby. Have I gone over the edge?

With the start of a new year (and the discovery of the extra pounds over the holidays!), I am highly motivated to get out to the woodshed and punch. I've been doing 2-hour workouts in the evening this week. But, I think I overdid it last night. I actually experienced my first muscle spasm! Never had one before – gosh what a dull life I've led.

I'm focusing on perfecting some new punches and combinations, and building more muscle. In this cold weather, the swivel is not swinging fast, thus making me work harder, but I see it as a good thing.

I must be missing some details watching the video on my phone. I didn't see a high beam. unless it's the ceiling above the rebound board?

I watched again and am still impressed with your skill and sense for rhythm, even your shifting of your weight from side to side was in beat. I figure that probably comes naturally to move your whole body with the beat, hands, feet, etc, all moving as one.

anyway, again much kudos. you've put in a lot of practice! : )

Dee, I just watched your vid. It was Awesome! Your bagging skills get better with every vid you post. I never heard that Grand Funk tune before. Looked like a tough one to punch to for 5 min. straight. The quite uptempo to keep that pace. You did great. I see you're using the "Bag from Downunder". Those are great bags. Unbelievably light for their size, but with great rebound. I really like mine.
Anyway, hope everything's cool with you, I'm waiting for it to warm up. Talk soon!

Thanks again, Inkspill. I find that when I use a bigger bag, I need to use more of my body to keep the bag going, especially when I'm doing the elbow strikes. This just adds to my workout, and hopefully translates to toning more muscles, etc. When I come in from working out, I can really feel it in my legs.

Thanks, TJ. Yes, I agree, they are a nice speed bag. Light, and a very good rebound. It serves me well. I hung my little yellow Title bag (formerly my "Favorite Bag") the other night. I had used it exclusively until I received the BFF bag. The yellow Title seems soooo small in comparison. For those who wish to work out on a smaller bag, I highly recommend the yellow Title, as it has a very good rebound, in my opinion.

Before getting the BFF bag, I had ordered the white Fighting Sports bag that was written up in another Thread (I think Tim talked about it). I recall hitting on a white Fighting Sports bag at SB 2010 and I liked it. But, when I got the bag, it was smaller than the one at SB 2010.

Here is a clip of Deano hitting on the larger Fighting Sports bag at SB 2010:

Attached is a photo of some of my bags to show the difference in size. From left to right: My red Everlast (a Te:M, I believe) is what I started out on. This bag – my third or fourth red bag since starting – is very mishapen, as you can see. It seems there is no quality control in the manufacturing of this particular bag by Everlast and one never knows how true the bag will be till you get it. Next is the white Fighting Sports bag, then my blue Body First Fitness speed ball (Australian bag), and then my yellow Title. As you can see, the BFF is not that big, but it's more bulbous (which I like) and has a great rebound. The Title bag is very good at the faster paced songs that I punch to. But, since I'm in that southern rock/bluesy-tempo song phase, the BFF works very well and has more "body" to it, which I like.

But, regarding the white FS bag... I think I'll give it a try when I get back in to the faster-paced music. For now, it's all about my BFF.

I think Biff is hitting on the small FS bag in his Mambo video. Biff's throwing some really nice combos in this clip, by the way. (Metaldad, turn up the volume when watching, as I know how much you LOVE this song. (Here's the thread link: http://www.speedbagforum.com/forums/...ead.php?t=2073

Yeah D, I'll have to send some pics o fm my bags. The white fs bag is a 5x8. Typical of that size, the next size up is black and white (7x10) I think. I thought it was the same size as the yellow title. I really like the fs bag, it's a hair slower than the title I believe, but great leather and still quie fast! Hope everything's cool on your end D. Talk soon.

So, you need to post a clip hitting on the BFF Aussie bag, TJ. BTW, you were lookin' good at STL... and it looked like a good time.

Thanks Heppsan! Now I'm getting inspired to go out to the woodshed for a short workout. (It's cold here – and late, but at least it's not snowing, thank goodness!)

Thanks, Kerry. I'm trying to practice as much as I can. Favorite time for me is in the evening. When the wild critters in the woods come out on full moons it gets a little spooky sometimes, but, I'm well armed.

And I usually get a 2-dog escort out to the woodshed. *whew*
