    I'd definitely recommend a double ended bag, good for hand eye coordination and keeps you on yr toes

      Yep. Great for eye-hand and distance. A speed bag has a fixed arc, so no matter how hard you hit it, it only goes faster, not further. Stand back far enough and you will never get hit by the speed bag no matter how hard you hit. To practice slipping you must move closer and put your face into the arc of the rebound.

      A Double End bag has a variable rebound, so if you vary the force of your punches the distance of the rebound changes. a power punch will find you getting smacked if you don't move in reaction to the force.

        I have to wonder if there is some more interesting "bible style" opportunity with the double-end bag.

                Double ended bag

                I had a spur of the moment go on mine last night , 20 minutes on it sure worked up a sweat , probably more so as I was still in my casual clothes

                    Haha thanks , love a session on the heavy bag at my local boxing gym , being 220 lbs I suppose it does get some hammer
