have you thought about putting a 2x4 coming down from your deck joist to the platform ? that would make it super stable

yeah, i'm going to fix it so it doesn't wobble so much, but i'm thinking of rearranging my whole training area, and if i do, i'm going to move my platform to a different area, so i'm trying to decide what i'm going to do.

For the F-Roll, I like to step in real close, but with the height of your platform that probably isn't possible. I think being in close makes it easier to keep it going. The bag should be higher up to make it easier to hit the belly of the bag consistently too.

          good fist roll

good work my friend now when u are doing it fast and keeping it going try and keep it going and slow the bag down. much softer hits and then you can start controlling the bag much more. good work again.

            Hey Ashe,

All above good tips, and I would suggest standing directly in front of the single vertical pole, rather then to the side of it. Perhaps you did that so the video wouldn't be of your back, but that springy board will be more stable IF you face directly into the pole. I have the same problem with freestanding frames when standing to the side of the vertical pole.

nah, i have to stand to the side, because my platform is actually about a half inch too short and the bag hit's the pole.

it was my first attempt at making a platform, so, ya' know...

              next one will be better.

                    Slow down a touch....

Slow it down a touch......I know its sounds funny. But the speed will come without you even knowing it.

See what Mr. SpeedBagSkunk said? Control the bag....the speed of the bag will increase without you even noticing it.

That is absolutely true. Control is the first key to speed, and relaxation is the second. Arm tension and trying to hit hard will not make you go faster. (until you learn to swing harder while relaxed, then you'll fly...)

yeah, i definitely think it helps to think "control" rather than "speed". something i picked up from you guys!
