Haha! yes!.. It's easy to to tell isn't it. I don't usually bother with the double bumps but he makes them look so good I was inspired. I feel they don't require the hand speed that some other work does, but they do need the bag to be clipping along quite quickly to flow and a focus on accuracy keeps the rebound angles favourable. Had to drop a 9-punch in there to keep it a little bit Seaweed Man, but yeah, amazing Matt indeed! I'm poaching a few of his awesome combinations. Hope he doesn't mind!

Some more baggage here. One combo comes up at 1:01- 1:03 which I have decided to start hitting a bit. So many ways to slice and dice the speed bag.
Any time they want a push on the swing it is bag o'clock

I wish all of the spammers would piss off. I have a few combos i'd like to unleash on them right now. Starting with FSP and HP.

Haven't hit the bag in a few weeks now- So many fish to slay and eat. I have been a busy boy. But it is always there asking for a hiding. When I got there this is what came to me, a combo that goes L-R-L-R... Santa didn't bring me a new bag. Either I have been naughty or he knows how happy I still am with this one.

I sometimes peak into my speed bag room and heard my speedbags singing "We wish us a merry christmas, we wish us....." You know the tune.

funny how you never forget and your hands just know what to do....

One of my favourite combos right now is (SSP)'(FCP). R-R or L-L. Such a simple one but I liike eet.
No one has asked my advice but I will give it anyway. Hopefully it will start a conversation that is of benefit to someone out there.
My tip for this one is to hit the side single punch, but don't let your fist go past the swivel after it connects with the bag. As the bag rebounds and comes back, you will have whipped your wrist around in a circle and your fist will be right below the swivel so your front circle punch will be ready for the bag.
With all of the combos where you are changing direction, if your fist or elbow is directly below the swivel, and ideally at the height of the belly of the bag then your connection with it on a strike or punch is most likely to be a clean one.( A wee bit higher than the belly is good as it can add to the purchase your fist or elbow gets on the bag, helping you keep control. But too low won't work. Those ones will be mis hits) I tend to look at the swivel a lot, it shows me where the bag is going to be.
While being in the right place at the right time is about timing- already being in the right place is half the battle won.

Thanks Ventanakaz! Here is a try at some Deano style hitting. New Year- so I thought might as well try some new things.

Behold the One and only, Amazing Deano.

I am still in awe of his skill and have yet to see his equal with what he does and HOW he does it.

Deano teaching his style, Speed Bag I, 2010.

At SPEED B.A.G. 2010 Deano teaches Biff and Tim his unique style of speed bag punching.

                            * He mostly hits only the sides of the bag, and his front punches are going side ways which keeps the rebound angle more side to side. He also uses the back of his hands and front surface of the fist fingers.
