    Speed Bag Comparison video

A few weeks back I posted a picture of all my bags ... here's a video that shows each in action (except the Everlast 6x4, it's got the short fat loop and it's a struggle to get it on and off the hook).

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

There's nothing particularly interesting about the techniques I'm using, just the same ole stuff I always do. A good amount of breakdowns too, as the video is a straight shoot, no editing In my defense, it's pretty darn challenging to change bag sizes that quickly and compensate with less punching force and more speed as the sizes decrease... I like to call it "running the rack", sort of like in weight lifting where you work you're way down the row of dumbbells.

Overall, the Title 8x5 (bottom row, far right) is the best size and weight for me, I think. The Top Contender is a close second, but it's too small to learn new tricks on.

I haven't hit the Rival much yet, so far, no objections to it though.

In regards to the vibration, here's something funny - let the video play all the way then drag the play icon with your mouse rapidly - you'll see that 50 lb bag of sand on top move a full 6 inches or so over the duration of the video

The stand I have rigged up is not connected to the walls, so it does shake quite a bit. I'm still working on strengthening it.

ha... I was going to mention the sand..... I thought it was going to fall, then you would have that "I lost my bike" face on again...... A little worried for you... you may want to secure it before you end up with a borken neck from 50 lbs of sand falling on your head.

even tho you have a big sandbag and a heavy platform im seing ALOT of vibration from the platform tim, nothing u can do about it mate? i found with my A-frame setup that also connected to the board only in the centre that it had alot of vibration, especially on the front lip like yours has, i think its abit of a design floor with the A frame setups as there is no support for the front lip of the board what so ever. the frames with parallel arms look more more stable and look to provide much more support for the drum.

Yes, I've made that same observation. I plan on running some supports down at a 45 degree angle to the top of the board, and bolting the whole thing into the concrete at the base. That should cut down on the vibration a bit.

I just hope I get it on tape when the time comes :P

I think some of that grippy rubber is in order, that should keep it in place. I can permanently mount it on the top.

Thanks for the medley. Nice bunch of bags. Really wanted to see the Everlast 6x4. It's my next bag.

He wanted this thread "front & center" again for some reason, that is, he wanted it to the top of the threads since newest threads are up higher when you pull up the site. Could be for many reasons.

Yup, was showing the site to my Uncle (over the phone) and I wanted to bring that particular thread up to the top. He's a Apple Mac fan like myself and that was my first video made with iMovie.
